Tiong Bahru is probably a familiar food haunt to those who love quaint cafes in a relatively quiet neighborhood; it is the home to Forty Hands, Open Door Policy and as we found out… PoTeaTo.
Rustic and inviting, its brick walls and black grills and bustling atmosphere lured us in.
Its menu boasts of an extensive selection of various teas as well as potato inspired dishes.
We ordered one dish “Bangers & Mash” which consisted of 3 types of sausages (classic pub grub, caramelised onion gravy) which turned out decent, other than the grey sausage which had too much of a black peppery taste. The cheese sausage was nice though!

Alvin ordered the fisherman pie which turned out to be a good choice as it came in a big portion. In fact, we even thought that there might have been too much salmon! (good news for salmon lovers)
Fish and Chips
Our friend, Evangelyn, liked the fish and chips that she had. Nicely done and they added a nice touch to the chips by including normal fries and sweet potato fries. Quite unique.
