Located at the new wing of Marina Square, St Marc Cafe, a Japanese cafe, offers a variety of pastries and delightful desserts. Firstly, a little information about St Marc. St. Marc is a popular cafe chain which opened its first outlet in Tokyo in 1998. Currently, there are more than 300 outlets in Japan. Their first overseas outlet is in Shanghai, and Singapore is its second.
They are well known for their “Choco cro“, croissants of a rich buttery flavour wraped around a mix of Ghana beans and the finest Ecuador beans.
They came in 2 flavours the last time we went – Chocolate and Matcha (though Matcha now seems to be replaced by Strawberry).
Crisp and flaky on the outside, along with its buttery dough and oozing inside with warm semi-melted chocolate, it was simply a delight to wolf down mouthful after mouthful. Just one is simply not enough, which is why it is recommended to get a box full. Dog lovers will definitely appreciate the design of the box – just look at this :
Do take note that it is typically quite full in the afternoons, so be prepared to wait around for seats.
